![]() Being at school every day is an important part of your student’s success. If your student needs to be out, please call the attendance line at (812) 349-4704. A quick call helps us excuse absences when appropriate and keeps everyone on the same page. Indiana law requires a meeting after 5 unexcused absences and a letter to the prosecutor after 10, so your call makes a big difference. |
Student Council is looking for donations for their Fall Food Drive! Each item collected will go to the Monroe Community Kitchen. For each item up to 1000 of that item, a financial match of $1 per item will be donated to the Monroe Community Kitchen (so a potential of $10,000 could be donated to the Monroe Community Kitchen!). The food drive will be a competition to see which sports team or club can raise the most donations, and the winning club or sport will earn a donut party during tutorial! The drive begins on Tuesday, September 8 and ends on Friday, October 2. There will be bins in the Fishbowl for your student to drop off donations at the beginning of the day that will be labeled with the teams names so that their donations can be counted towards your team. Items will also be collected at these home games:
- Football September 18th.
- Boys Soccer: September 24th
- Girls Soccer: September 16th
I encourage you to donate yourselves and/or tell your friends and family to donate. Bins will be at the game to place donations in. Thank you for supporting this cause!
Items that will be matched financially:
- Small peanut butters
- SPAM
- Canned chicken
- Meal helpers
- Cereal
- Small bread mixes (like jiffy corn muffin mix)
- Boxes of fruit cups
- Cans of diced tomatoes
- Canned vegetables (other than corn & green beans)
- Short pastas
Support you players and donate items to the Fall Food Drive!

All 12th-grade students will attend the fair during Den, and employers will remain available during all three lunch periods for other interested students.
