Yearbook FAQ
How much is a yearbook? ○ Yearbook Prices ○ $55 until September 27, 2024 ○ $60 until January 31, 2025 ○ $65 after February 1, 2025 ● Where do students and teachers pay for their yearbooks? ○ YearbookForever.com ● When I search for ‘Bloomington North’, the website doesn’t seem to find us? Why is that? ○ For some reason, searching for ‘Bloomington North’ turns up no results, but searching for ‘Bloomington’ or ‘Bloomington High School North’ will find us. ● When do sales end? ○ Once the books are gone, they’re gone. Online sales will end on May 9, 2025 and any remaining stock will be sold on a first come, first serve basis after the book arrives at BHSN. ● When will the 2025 yearbooks be here? ○ Yearbooks are scheduled to arrive in early May. The Spring Supplement (which includes the Spring sports, prom, graduation, etc) will arrive in July. More details about the distribution process for the supplement will be distributed along with the book. Those who order home delivery of the Yearbook will also get home delivery of the supplement. ● Where will yearbooks be distributed? ○ Once they arrive, the Yearbooks will be distributed during lunch periods. ● How do I pick up a book for a student who graduated? ○ Students who graduated early or who are no longer at North can stop by the main office from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm to pick up their book. ● What if I didn't order a yearbook and I want one? ○ A limited amount of copies will be put on sale after the books arrive. They will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. ● What if I can’t remember if I ordered a yearbook? ○ You can check at the ordering site yearbookforever.com In the upper right hand corner next to “Not sure you ordered” at yearbookforever.com. ● What if I paid for a yearbook and you don't have the order? ○ Email us at tcockrum@mccsc.edu and we will double check the order. If we do not find your order, and you believe you did send it in, a canceled check or statement of payment will be necessary. ● What if my student's underclassmen picture didn't appear in the book? ○ Only students who had their picture taken on picture day or retake day appear in the class section of the book. ● How can I make sure my student's senior picture appears in the book? ○ All efforts to include every senior in the book are taken. If students who do not get senior pictures taken somewhere else then we will use their school picture taken by Inter-State (this is the most common way we get photos). Sometimes, seniors either didn’t turn in a picture, or were not present on photo or retake days. You or your photographer, whoever submitted the senior picture, will receive a confirmation email stating we received your child’s senior picture. If you or your photographer did not receive a confirmation email, please resubmit the picture. A quality vertical headshot, wallet-size, in color, with school appropriate attire. No props. We do reserve the right to ask for a replacement picture if the picture does not meet school standards. ● What if we cannot afford to buy a Yearbook, but really want one? ○ Through donations and ad sales, we have a small number of “paid for” books available for students of need. Parents or the student should contact their counselor about this and counselors pass those names on privately to the Yearbook advisor. ● What if I have a complaint or issue with the book? ○ Please remember that the yearbook is a student-produced publication. Regrettably, mistakes of varying sorts and omissions are bound to occur. However, mistakes are regrettably made at times, and at times students have been left out of the book. While we regret these mistakes, there is little we can do once the book is published. Feel free to email us at tcockrum@mccsc.edu. ● What if my question was not addressed here? ○ Email us at tcockrum@mccsc.edu.
Picture Day FAQ
When is School Picture Day and Retakes? ○ School Photos will be taken on September 23-24, 2024. ○ Students will get their photo taken during their English class. ○ Students can not have props, hats or headwear (with the exception of religious or cultural head coverings), or earbuds/headphones. ○ Photos will be available to parents (usually within 5 days) for online viewing through Inter-State.com and will have the opportunity to purchase prints at the time. ○ Retakes are November 8, 2024. ● What if my student's underclassmen picture didn't appear in the book? ○ Only students who had their picture taken on picture day or retake day appear in the class section of the book. ● What about Senior Photos? ○ Inter-State will take Senior Photos on September 23-24, 2024 as well, but will have a dedicated photographer for just seniors to ensure that they have some extra time and attention to get them looking their best. Some students prefer to dress up for their Senior photos. That is allowed but not required. Students should prepare to have their senior photos taken during their English class. We do reserve the right to ask for a replacement picture if the picture does not meet school standards. ● When are senior pictures due? ○ Seniors who have their photo taken at a different studio should submit the Senior pictures no later than November 15, 2024.
Senior and Business Ad FAQ
Why should I put a Senior Ad in the yearbook? ○ Senior Ads are a way for parents or grandparents to honor their student with a message and photos of their choosing (with school appropriateness considered). Not only does this make your students' yearbook more unique, ads sales help us to keep the cost of the yearbook down for everyone. A percentage of the ad sales also provides us the opportunity to provide yearbooks for students of need free of charge. ● How do I put a senior ad in the yearbook? ○ Ad information is available online at yearbookforever.com. The ads will be designed by the Yearbook staff for consistency with input from the purchaser (ie text and included photos). Individuals can purchase an ad or a group can share an ad. Email us at tcockrum@mccsc.edu with any questions. ○ Senior Ad Prices ■ Full page $260 ■ Half page $140 ■ Quarter page $75 ■ Eighth page $40 ● What if I want an ad for my business? ○ We happily accept business ads as well. They can be ordered directly by emailing us at tcockrum@mccsc.edu or online at yearbookforever.com. ○ Business Ad Prices: ■ Full page $460 ■ Half page $280 ■ Quarter page $165 ■ Eighth page $95 ○ Businesses can design their own ads or have our yearbook staff design the ad. ● When are ads due? ○ Both Senior Ads and Business Ads are due by February 1, 2025.
