BHSN Dual Credit


Dual Credit courses provide opportunities for qualified students to earn college credit from a regionally accredited institution while attending high school. These courses will enable students to meet the dual credit requirements for a Core 40 with Technical Honors diploma, Core 40 with Academic Honors diploma, Graduation Pathways, and receive college credits. Bloomington High School North has a robust offering of dual credit courses with both Indiana University’s ACP Program and Ivy Tech Community College.

Online registration for Fall 2023 and Trimester 1 courses will be open through midnight, Friday, September 8, 2023.


To take IU courses through ACP you must:

Have a GPA of 2.70 or above on a 4.00 point scale through your most recently completed semester of high school.

  1. Look Out for Confirmation Emails


  • Email #1 – Once you complete the DualEnroll application, you will receive an email from requesting you confirm your new account. In that email click the "Confirm my account" link. This email should arrive within minutes of submitting the application.
  • Email #2 – After you have confirmed your account, you will immediately get a confirmation email that your account has been activated.
  • Email #3 – You will receive a third email from once your application has been processed, usually about a day later. Welcome to Ivy Tech! This email will contain your student identification number (also known as your C#) and your Ivy Tech username and outline your next steps. If you don't receive this welcome email, check your “junk mail” or spam folder.

  • Review the Ivy Tech Community College Acceptable Use Policy and click “I Agree”
  • Enter the requested information (your Ivy Tech email address can be found in the confirmation email you received after your application was processed)
  • Click “Get Started”
  • Enter your personal information (your student ID number is also called your C# number and can be found in the confirmation email you received after your application was processed)
  • Enter your personal email address and cell phone number for your validation code and choose your preferred method to receive your code
  • Check “I’m not a robot”
  • Click “Next”
  • Enter your validation code
  • Click “Next”
  • Create your password
  • Log In

Students are required to meet course prerequisites and qualifying scores in order to earn dual credit

Ivy Tech Dual Credit Prerequisites

If you do not have previous college credit, an ACT, SAT or PSAT score, or a cumulative high school GPA that satisfies the assessment requirement, you will need to complete the Knowledge Assessment. The Knowledge Assessment assesses your level in reading, writing, and mathematics. The assessment is free and your score will be accepted up to four years after you take the assessment.

You will immediately make course registration requests on once your account is processed. The courses available to you are determined by what’s offered at your home high school and applicable career center.
